It continues with an exceptionally fun and creative photo session where your children’s personalities will come shining through in the images. You’ll be thrilled with the variety of images you can choose from and as most clients have noted, you may have a difficult time narrowing them down to your favourites! Your chosen images will be treasured in professional quality prints, fine art canvases, customized albums and other specialty items. Janet will always be there to answer your questions and give recommendations along the way – she is pleased to be your personal design consultant. Booking your Session
Please contact Visual Hues Photography to schedule your session. It is recommended to book at least three weeks in advance to find a time that works best for you. In our pre-session consultation, we will discuss various aspects of your session including location, who is to be photographed, clothing choices, and any other details. We will also discuss pricing and what type of prints and items you are looking to add to your home. I’ll be happy to answer any of your questions during this phone call or any time afterwards!
Investment
Your custom photography session’s creative fee includes a pre-session phone consultation, the photo session (up to two hours), preparation of your image proofs, creation of your online proof gallery, retouching ordered images, and archiving your ordered images for a period of one year. This fee is for photographer's time and talent only and does not include prints.
Sitting Fees:
- Sitting fee for up to five people: $200.00
- $25 will be charged for each additional person.
The sitting fee is due upon time of booking. It is highly recommended to pre-book your newborn date to guarantee a session within the first two weeks of your newborn’s life.
Prints and Collections:
- Gorgeous collections featuring combinations of albums, prints, fine art canvases and storyboards start at $825.
- A la Carte prints start at $36 for 5x7 and smaller.

Cash, cheque, and credit card (via PayPal) are available payment methods.

The Session
Visual Hues Photography sessions typically last anywhere from one to two hours (please note 3 hours are set aside for newborn shoots).
The sessions can be completed at the Visual Hues Photography home studio, your own home or any outdoor location. Janet has many ideas for outdoor locations based on whether you would like a natural setting, a country feel or a more urban vibe. Please take a look at the galleries to get a feel for Janet’s style and what your preference may be. The time of day to book your session depends on different factors such as lighting conditions as well as naptimes! We’ll be sure to discuss during our pre-consultation conversation.
Viewing, Selecting & Ordering Images
Within three weeks after your portrait session, you will be sent a link to an on-line gallery. There, you can view your images and select which ones you would like to have printed. The order automatically goes to Visual Hues Photography and we will contact you when your prints are ready. If you have any questions about the on-line gallery, I will gladly help you through the process.
The link to the gallery can be forwarded to friends and family, who can also order prints if they desire.
Please note Janet is also very willing to have an in-person ordering session to help you with your decision making and provide an additional level of service for you. You can see the products, have a personal design consultant and a truly boutique photography experience.
Once ordered, prints take up to 3 weeks to be completed. Completion times vary for albums, canvases and specialty items.
