Welcome to the first edition of "News & Views" from Visual Hues Photography. From time to time, I will use this venue to share some of my favourite images, tell you about upcoming promotions, and any other exciting news related to Visual Hues Photography.

Summer is on it's way!

The warmer weather is here and that means the perfect opportunity for outdoor photo sessions! Some of my favourite places to take photos are at Weaselhead, Sandy Beach, and Fish Creek. The pathways, tall grasses, trees, bridges, and water make each of them ideal for a relaxed photo shoot with plenty of variety. Reader Rock Gardens is also a fun place to be with it's fabulous flora and stone steps. I'm always up for discovering new places as well, whether it be a nearby park, your backyard or any other place that catches your eye!

Featured Photo Shoot

My first feature photos are from one of my favourite subjects, Zoe. She is an absolute treasure to photograph. We have had three sessions together so far and we have a blast every time. After an early morning outdoor shoot at Weaselhead we went back to her house where she proceeded to take out her ukulele to play a song for me. I grabbed my camera and got a wonderful series of photos of this up and coming musician!

Wallet Size Photos and Magnets now Available!

Yeah!! I now offer wallet size photos and magnets! Now you don't have any excuse for not being able to whip out your wallet and proudly show off the special people in your life! The magnets are also great for giving as small gifts to family and friends.

If you would like to order wallet size photos or wallet size magnets of an image taken at a previous session, now is your opportunity! Email Visual Hues Photography to let me know which image you would like printed. Until May 31st, you can receive them for 40% off. So that means a set of 8 wallet size photos for $18 or a set of 8 wallet size magnets for $24.

Thinking ahead to Father's Day?

How pleased would Dad be to wake up on Father's Day to handmade cards saying how much they love him and gorgeous photos of his little ones? He'll love it! Book a session before June 10th to ensure you'll have your photos in hand for Father's Day on June 17th.

A Wonderful Organization

When browsing the internet for photography sites, I ran across this amazing organization called "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" which assists families who find themselves having to go through the loss of their baby. I cannot relate to the grief and pain these parents go through, but I immediately knew I wanted to help them with the healing process. I am now proud to say I am a volunteer photographer with this non-profit organization. I offer my time and services to these families so they can treasure photos that cherish and share the spirit of their babies.
