Hello! There are so many parts of Christmas I love. Especially as the kids are getting older and we can do more activities. After a wonderfully busy summer and fall season I am looking forward to relaxing and taking time to build gingerbread houses, bake cookies, decorate our house and tree, somehow coerce Harold to put up the Christmas lights on the house, have holidays drinks with friends and get ready for our road trip to Manitoba. This year, we will be going to Manitoba, where Harold's family lives. We have not spent a Christmas out there yet with the kids so we thought it would be nice to do that this year. The other part of Christmas I love is giving. I really do enjoy thinking of what people would like and appreciate. Photos rank high on my list of gifts friends and family enjoy and cherish. Being a photographer, you may roll your eyes and say of course she thinks that, but I really do think the gift of a family image is something everyone loves! This is a non-profit my husband, some friends and myself started a few years ago which raises money to send youth to school in East Africa and Guatemala. So far we have given over 400 scholarships to kids who otherwise would not have been able to afford their secondary education.
