Studio House & Garden

The Visual Hues Studio House & Garden opened its doors in early 2011. My husband Harold and I fell in love with this little Marda Loop home. As it was gutted, drywalled, and painted we saw it evolve into my dream photography space. The studio is located in Calgary’s inner city region at 2024 – 34th Avenue SW. Marda Loop is a fun area to explore with beautiful shops, yummy restaurants and coffee houses.

Studio House

Natural light pours the south-facing window, and the house's natural nooks and crannies offer oodles of potential backgrounds. Rest in our presentation room and view your photos on a giant screen. Make your selections, linger in the photo art galley and soak up ideas for displaying your portraits at home.

Studio Garden

We will be landscaping the back yard into a studio, which means relaxed, fun outdoor shoots--but with unlimited access to studio equipment and coffee. Textures, backgrounds, colours, and light change daily (in Calgary, sometimes hourly) so every Studio Garden session is unique.
